A delicious caramel-nutty fragrance fills the air. My coffee is brewing. I love the smell of coffee, but I’m a coffee lover. Any of you who have visited for virtual coffee before have read my various coffee descriptions, where my feelings for coffee become obvious. Anyway, I had a massage the other day. My massage therapist’s office is inside another building. When I accessed the hall to her office the smell of coffee was like a magical java wall, and I floated on the coffee-scented air currents right to her door. I commented on the smell to the receptionist, who paused before responding. In the brief pause, I had a second to wonder about how someone who doesn’t like coffee or its odour might describe it. Then her face broke into a grin and she confirmed that she too was a coffee lover.
If we were having coffee, I would share that I tried to buy myself an apple crisp oat macchiato twice this week and failed. They were out of the apple syrup both times. So, the first time I had a black medium roast and the second time my fallback coffee was a pumpkin spice latte. They were both tasty, but I was hoping for that apple-flavoured hot drink.

If we were having coffee, I would share that my birthday was this week. We went out for dinner. I had been craving French fries and a burger, so we went to a local burger joint. No complaints, it was exactly what I was craving. Since we are talking food, I will share that I also had nachos this week. I love nachos. My youngest son isn’t a fan, so I always get a heavy sigh from him when I starting singing that its nacho night.
If we were having coffee, I finished sewing one of the blankets that I had cut patches for. It’s a small lap blanket. The next one is a full sized quilt, but I’m feeling more in the mood for a puzzle then my sewing machine.
What is going on in your world my virtual coffee friend?

Happy birthday! I love your creativity. Meanwhile, I’ve been cross-stitching the same thing for… well… since before I separated from my husband (and I’m since divorced and remarried for almost two years…) And I’ve been working on the same crocheted blanket for… not as long? Anyway, glad that you’re making progress on your projects!

Thank you for the kind words.
Some projects take longer because our interest in working on them comes and goes. That’s okay. My son and I have been working on one of those diamond puzzles together for almost three years. It isn’t a big one either. It just happens when it happens.
Thanks for stopping in, Jayden.

Happy Birthday! I’m glad you finished your quilt! I wanted to try the same drink at Starbucks but I’m not sure now why I didn’t the last time I was there. It sounds delicious. I hope you have a great weekend! 🙂

Thank you, Angela. As for that particular coffee, I believe it is a seasonal one so I don’t know how much longer they will have it. I hope you get a chance to try it. It’s a tasty one.

Hopefully this coming up week I’ll be able to try it. 🙂

Happy birthday! I will admit that I only like “real” coffee, i.e., I can’t do flavors. I’m not sure why, I have just never liked the taste. but I love the taste and smell (!) of coffee, so I agree with you there.
Hope you have a wonderful week 🙂

Well, a simple black coffee is a great cup of java. Happy Sunday, Trent.

Happy Birthday Shari! My birthday is next weekend and maybe that’s why October is my favorite month of the year! Thank you for sharing a cup of coffee as the description sounds delicious, caramel yum! I have to get a pumpkin latte soon, I’ve not heard of or tried the apple crisp one. I don’t go to the coffee shops very often but it’s a nice treat now and again. Have a wonderful week!! 💞

Happy birthday Shari! It’s lovely to read why your day went. I’ve never heard of coffee with apple syrup. I made myself an iced cold macchiato yesterday. It’s just way too hot here in Singapore, 36 degrees Celcius. Today I made myself a cold matcha latte. If we were having coffee, I’d say that I’m proud how I’m now able to write on my blog weekly and finally writing about Korean trip last winter (before winter comes again) 🙂
