What’s a razzleberry?

Without a doubt, no thought required, my coffee has the perfume of a raspberry. Curious, I peek into my mug. The liquid inside is a merlot colour with an oil sheen on the top. My taste buds scream bitter raspberry as my java slides over my tongue and down my throat. Even the aftertaste is reminiscent of the berry. So, that still leaves a question, what is a razzleberry? Google suggests that Razzleberry can also be referred to as Triple Berry and it’s a term for foods/liquids made with a combination of raspberries and blackberries. Armed with that knowledge I take another sip. There could be blackberry there, perhaps most clearly in the fade out of the aftertaste. Interesting coffee this morning and I would drink it again. The brand is Slice Pie Flavoured Coffee and the flavour is Razzleberry Pie.

If we were having coffee, I would ask if there is an active Weekend Coffee Share community on Twitter or Facebook? If there is we should link un. Twitter and Facebook.

If we were having coffee, I would share a picture of the Alice in Wonderland puzzle that I finished this week and the image of the one I finished a few weeks ago. This will be my last puzzle until the fall. The weather is shifting so puzzles can wait till it get cold and wintery again.

If we were having coffee, I would share with you that I started a furniture project. I’m sanding down my mother’s China cabinet. It was a wedding gift to her and my dad. If memory serves me correctly dad made it (he loved woodworking) or he helped make it. Anyway, it has been waiting for me to refinish it since Mom passed and I started sanding. I’m planning to whitewash it and use it in my office as a coffee station and as a place to store my writing resources.

Here is the coffee pot. How was your week?

  1. I am not the biggest raspberry fan – if there is something that has a really good raspberry flavor, I can feel those stupid seeds in my teeth, even though there are no seeds in, say, coffee… lol, I know, odd. I must have been traumatized by a raspberry seed as a kid 😉 I did not see your link on the main coffee share page, but I did follow your Facebook page.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend and have a wonderful week ahead!

    1. I couldn’t find the linkup yesterday when I looked. I think I was too early and I never got a chance to come back. I’m going to link up now. I popped into your coffee share today through Twitter so that is kind of funny.

As for the raspberry, I can completely understand that association. Those seeds can be bothersome. It reminded me of a time I pulled some raspberries out of the fridge and was preparing them for the kid’s snack. I found a full bee stuffed into the spot where the stem usually is. I’m not sure if a dead bee’s stinger would have made an ouchy if it made it into the children’s mouths, but I’m sure glad we didn’t find out!

      1. Yeah, I thought it was possible you posted to early for the linkup.
Funny, I forget that I have Twitter because I never use it! Every so often I see that someone hit a post through Twitter and think, “Oh, yeah, that’s right…”
I have found odd things in fresh veggies, fruit and berries. A whole bee? Glad you found that one! Might not have been able to sting, but who knows?

  2. You are busy! We enjoy the same hobbies for sure. My favorite pasttime besides blogging is doing puzzles. I also want to refinish my mom’s secretary this year after we finish a hundred million other projects. 🙂 Have a great week. 🙂

  3. Razzleberry! A new term for me. And yes, some of my winter pursuits have been pushed aside. Your puzzles are amazing. I hope you’ll share the refinished China cabinet.

  4. I love your two Alice puzzles – they would have been really fun to do – and the idea of refinishing the china cabinet into a useful addition to your study is just great. It’s nice to have something passed down through the family that you can make fit in with your own decor.

    1. Both puzzles were a lot of fun to do. I have my eye on a couple of new puzzles for the fall. I live in a wind belt, else I would happily sit out in the sun and putter at a puzzle. As for the furniture, it’s nice to have pieces in the house with so many memories and stories I can share with my children. I have the dinner table that I grew up eating on. It was a wedding present for my parents. I refinished it and it is now our coffee table.

Thanks for stopping in, Leanne. Have a nice week.

  5. I have this beautiful puzzle, but I have yet to open it to piece it together. I do look forward to the finished product when I get to put it on display though. I
