Bramble and I have fallen into a routine. Things have been going well. Today as I sip, Bramble speaks. “Let’s get married.”
I choke on my mouthful of coffee and slam Bramble down onto the table with unintended force.
Bramble waits for me to be able to breathe again before repeating. “Let’s get married.”
“I’m already married, Bramble.”
“We have so much in common.”
“You’re a coffee cup!”
“True.”
We lapse into silence.
If we were having coffee, I would remind you that for 2023 I’m starting my coffee share posts with a running story themed around enchanted coffee (posted at the top in italics).

If we were having coffee, I would share with you that I finished reading H is for Homicide. I decided on my U read from the list of titles you all shared with me; thank you again. I’m hoping to start reading Unnatural Exposure on Sunday. I’m not sure about reading time for the next little while because I’m starting a developmental edit so . . . Anyway, the other thing that I finished this was a Buffalo Games collage collection 1000-piece puzzle called “Donut Worry, Be Happy!”

If we were having coffee, I attended a few virtual webinars this week. Bonus webinars for being signed up for The Women in Publishing Summit. Off the top of my head, there was one called “Fireside chat with BookShop.org” and another called “How Stephen King would write Wizard of Oz with AutoCrit.” That reminds me, keep an eye open for my post on Saturday called “For you, your writing, and your publishing career.”
If we were having coffee, I would share with you that my older son is going to be away for the whole weekend! My husband is on night shift so the younger son and I are planning a movie marathon, although we have settled on a movie chain yet. We tossed around Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Mission Impossible. So, we shall see what we end up picking once we sit down. There are plans for meat and cheese trays, popcorn, and sushi. Fun times.
How was your week? Any weekend plans?

All good choices on movies! I also like doing the Lord of the Rings Extended Editions, and now the Hobbit, too. That’s a commitment, though!

Now you mention is we have done the Lord of the Rings, but it was a while back. The boy’s were very restless by the last movie and didn’t make it to the end. Could be a good one for us to try again.

I love it! When we were first quarantined almost 3 years ago, that was the first thing we did. LOTR marathon while doing a LOTR puzzle. 🙂 Enjoy whichever you choose!

I was trying to think of something clever to say about your opening story, but I can’t beat Trent’s “fresh coffee,” so I’ll pass (cute story though!). I’m fascinated by “How Stephen King would write Wizard of Oz with AutoCrit.” Dying to know what that’s all about.

It was a bit different than I was expecting. AutoCrit is actually a writing/editing tool and you can compare your work to different authors within that system. So, the demo was Wizard of Oz compared to Stephen King.

It’s busy, a luncheon at church and then a Super Bowl party at a neighbors. I still don’t know what I’m going to take. I’m full!
