Lake

Lake, by Google definition, is a large body of water surrounded by land.

Swimming, boating, fishing, and various water activities come to mind at the thought of a lake. It doesn’t matter if the lake is calm or choppy. It’s summer. The lake is refreshing, cool, and a variant of blue. Humid air is filled with the sounds of laughter and splashing. It’s a relaxed and friendly environment. The setting and temperature scream for tall glasses filled with ice. The sides of the glass are beaded with moisture, but it isn’t enough to cool the body. The lake calls…

  1. Ah yes, you have captured the lake. We spend a lot of time in lakes as we have a trailer yacht. With all the rain we have had (one years worth in less than four months) the lakes are muddy and brown. Now summer is over and we are thinking, hoping that next summer will be better.

    1. Linda, I have to ask. Where in the world are you located? I am in Alberta Canada, northern Alberta, and it snowed a couple days ago. We haven’t reached lake season yet.
