Lake, by Google definition, is a large body of water surrounded by land.
Swimming, boating, fishing, and various water activities come to mind at the thought of a lake. It doesn’t matter if the lake is calm or choppy. It’s summer. The lake is refreshing, cool, and a variant of blue. Humid air is filled with the sounds of laughter and splashing. It’s a relaxed and friendly environment. Ah yes, you have captured the lake. We spend a lot of time in lakes as we have a trailer yacht. With all the rain we have had (one years worth in less than four months) the lakes are muddy and brown. Now summer is over and we are thinking, hoping that next summer will be better.

NSW Australia. We could actually sail all winter as the weather is comparatively mild but choose not to.

That’s amazing. We get so cold here in the winter that there are days the radio warns against going outside. Haha, it is so different.

You made me want to go find a lake and just chill out – though not if it’s snowing!
I’m more of an ocean and beach person than lakes and I can’t remember spending much time around a lake, just very occasionally.

I love the ocean but I only get to experience it when I travel for vacation. Lakes are what I grew up with. Thanks for stopping in and leaving a link. I will head to your blog now…

I totally understand the calling of a lake.. but my preferred water body is the beach!

Thank you Ronel. It was from my childhood home, sadly sold a couple years ago when I lost my mother. Great memories though. Thanks for stopping in.
