The definition of smile – form one’s features into a pleased, kind, or amused expression, typically with the corners of the mouth turned up and the front teeth exposed (Google).
It is the time of the year when my boy’s aunts and uncles start sending Christmas gifts. The come unwrapped and I stash them away until I can wrap them up to go under the Christmas tree for the boys to ohh and ahh over until December 25.
This week I was lucky enough to have a few minutes to wrap up a couple of those treasures that arrived in that mail. I love wrapping presents. I dragged out my big red wrapping paper container and sifted through the rolls to find the perfect pattern for each gift a wrapped. I folded, creased and taped the corners just right. I hand wrote the little tags to say love from aunt — and uncle —. I took a minute to admire each pack with a smile.
Ribbons and bows with come later and of course bring another smile.
As I was standing there smiling away at those wrapped packages I said to my husband who was trying to ignore me that I love wrapping and think I will seek out a job as one of Santa’s Elves. This of course got me that “are you serious” glance from my husband with a smirk and an eye roll. I of course got myself another smile!
What made you smile lately?

For me it’s a bit early to think about wrapping Christmas gifts, but I have been discussing them – not to early to think about picking them up! lol, I’m sure you will enjoy your new career path as one of Santa’s elves…

It is early, but I love having it done before the bustle starts. Have a great week, thanks again for the smile

Good idea to get started early: no big rush as time gets closer. And you also get to enjoy the smiles for longer!!!
We bought our first pressies yesterday. And I want to start baking (and eating) stollen soon!

The boys and I are going to try a new recipe tomorrow: gingerbread cupcakes with lemon icing! It is never to early for holiday baking.
