Hi Shari. I shared my new story above with some of my readers and one asked if I knew where this cemetery is. I told him I knew the photographer and promised to ask if you’d care to share this information, but made no promises. What would you like me to tell him?

It is Dawson City in the Yukon.

I answered his question and added this to the photo attribution in the story. I toyed with writing Dawson City into the story but with my luck, they don’t have gophers which would break the story of course. I looked up Dawson and now know that this graveyard must go back to at least the early 1990s. Some were wealthy enough to afford stone markers, others could only afford wood which weather more quickly destroys. The more I look at this photo, the more I learn and like it. Thanks again Shari.
