Stolen Moments

If we were having coffee…

The feel of the mug in my hand is weighted and warm. It is such a comfort on this cold March morning. The darkness of the morning sits around me and it is only by the soft glow of the small lamp that I am reading. I imagine the soft yellow glow around me as a bubble of light that fades to fuzziness as the dark and light battle for control. I am thankful for these quiet mornings where I wake before the rest of the house rises and steal a few moments for reading with coffee before the day kicks into motion.

If we were having coffee I would softly explain that I refuse to give any more power to the events of this week and I just want to draw fresh energy from this quiet moment.

If we were having coffee I would ask how your week went?

  1. If you were having coffee with me, I would point out that review mirror is soo much smaller compared to the front windscreen and thats because,in the journey you need to to focus more on the road ahead than the road behind you, how is that for a reflective quip
    enjoy the journey
