Their hands joined as one.
She laid her small delicate fingers overtop of his strong rugged ones. The heat from his skin rose up to warm the coolness that she carried in her own hands and it provided her with comfort. She imaged his sturdy hand enveloping her hand with its capability to encompass it.
She studied how his hand outsized hers and the differences between the two. Her smooth skin glowed and the lines in the skin at the knuckles was fine in detail. Her slender fingers lead down to nicely shaped acrylic nails with a soft pink contrasted against the stark white tips. Beautiful hands. However, his hands were beautiful as well in their own way with the strength of them visible in the deepened creases and furrows. His skin was a rougher shade of flesh colour then hers and it allowed fine white hairs to be seen decorating the top of his hands. His thick fingers ended in blunt nails.
It was a perfect pairing of strength and delicacy.
