Millions of tiny hairs scream in agony as razor sharp scissors sever them forever from their roots. The sound of their voices is ripped from my son’s vocal cords; the only child in history that verbalizes the pain felt by strands of hair. It is a horrific pain that he makes evident through his red faced shrieks, river of tears, and flailing limbs coupled with streams of snot and waves of spit. Add hissing and claws and we would have been cutting the hair of a cornered wild cat!
How did he kept his ears, I will never know. He even saved some strands of hair.
