Oubliette
In the morning I looked around. I was startled that I hadn’t noticed the picture on the wall. It was a painting of a beautiful tree done in rich greens, aquas, and blues. I was even more startled when the picture fell off the wall revealing a passageway behind it. We stepped through and instantly fell through a trap door and landing with a crash. A woman rushed in from somewhere to see what the noise was. “Olivia!” Glitter shouted. I watched stunned while they embraced.
“Did you find the message hidden in the rising steam from my coffee cup?”
